A small huntsman with a crook leg (it was broken when we found him/her) Can bite but not poisonous.

Made when I was 19 - probably my first 'official' patchwork square. I wore it as an apron top tied with ribbon round the neck and across the back until I decided I was too old to dress like that (one year later...most likely). Then I turned it into a cushion cover. I don't remember bringing to to Australia, but there it was with the pillowcases.

Would be jeans. Cut out in between pregnancies. I lost weight after Eowyn, not so much after Nani. They wouldn't fit now...mom's old denim from the 70's, I think.
I spent a couple weeks before Eowyn's birthday transforming our linen press into an art supply/fabric cupboard. All the linens now live in their respective bedrooms of use. Makes sense to me!
Notice the lack of new work, or progress on new work. Mum duties. One with sniffles (ok now) and the littler one has a new tooth (finallllly - only two more molars to go).
Enjoying the photography class, but change and growth are not without pains :)
Hello! It's fun to see what you have found - although I'm not sure about the spider!
ReplyDeleteWill you post photos from the class here as well?
oh - I know - the spider, they give me the shivers, but trying to be big and brave but still promote caution in front of my girls without completely scaring them to death of spiders. I always try to put these ones outside...sometimes they are the size of a small rodent. ew.
ReplyDeleteI could post some photos here, maybe in combination with a link to flickr, if you'd like :) At the moment I think I'm being a little too scrutinous.
Jeana
i once found some sort of spider in my apartment. i wear glasses because i don't see very well (not for looks or anything...haha) and i didn't have them on because it was very late. and i saw this big brown patch in the middle of the bathroom floor and i thought my cat had pooped in the floor. so i went to get all the necessary tools to remove said poop only to find it moved...........ahhhhhh. i grabbed the college bio textbook (largest book i think i've ever owned) and smashed it. that is my spider story. lol.
ReplyDeletehope the little ones get better. nicholas is teething.
and card trick is one of my favorite blocks.
It always feels good to clean out cupboards - and especially in this instance as you're making this one into an art/fabric cupboard! You might think that you've done much 'art work' this week but getting your materials and spaces sorted is a big achievement...and an even bigger achievement is being there for your chickens...they're little wors of art that you're helping to create aren't they...hope they're feeling much better...love to you...
ReplyDeletethat denim would make lovely paper, if you run out of "practical" ideas! if you have any papermaker friends...
