From a little family outing to Lake Colac (it's quite a dry lake at the moment) near dusk to work on my landscape/night homework (well - suggested exercises really) from the photography class I'm taking through our local camera club. The first photo has been edited somewhat. The second is just after it started to rain, a puddle on Red Rock lookout, near the lake.

And these two I love - for no reason at all other than I do.

Not really in the landscape or portrait category...more of the happy accident blurry sort...
So - I have something akin to performance anxiety, I realise, when trying to work something technical out - an odd feeling all too familiar from the days I was studying violin - a sudden shyness and wanting to do things the 'right way.' Much easier to overcome behind the lens perhaps - yet so familiar and disorienting.
Time to take a step back...so I had a long hot bath today. Lots of bubbles. Psalm 4 in my mind.
More photos - it's all about learning :)

These are all lovely - I really like the stormy sky with the huge stretch of land below. Such a long way to see. My other favorite would be the sparkly shoes in the dirt (from the flickr link). They seem comfortably opposite!
