hi again

hi again

So.
A funny little collaborative self portrait.
The technical issues here are simply not up for discussion.
You are all too nice for that anyway, I know :)

Peter caught me just as I started to scrunch up my face before a fit of laughter.

Nothing ground breaking, but I gave myself a collaborative haircut. That may not seem possible but it is - when you realise your arms don't quite reach with the scissors at a particular angle at the back (nor could I see what I was doing) and husband is directed to trim - that's a good 5 inch trim and good riddance.

The girls have fringe too...they discovered the joys of sticking my kneadable eraser into hair. Their hair. Luckily only at the front or I would have had to give them 'layers' too. Good bye eraser.

Once I sort through the many photos I've taken for my class I will post some, here and there...last week we discussed landscape photography. I am painfully learning to use my tripod and a smaller aperture. Why do I resist? Don't know.

Love,
Jeana

  4. Nice to see a photo of you and your husband.
I took a photography course as soon as my last one left for university - I learned how to use a darkroom to develop film. Before a year was out, the school closed and all the darkroom stuff was dispersed with.
Are you learning just digital or is there some film work as well?

  5. Thank you everyone. I really wanted to take a photography course to learn more about light in general...because I think that will help in my art making all round (I hope!). There is an option to learn some darkroom techniques, but at the first practical session only one person brought a film camera (that was me...). So I don't know. I've been using my DSLR since that session. I have a general interest in printmaking (but know very little as of yet) so would love to learn in the darkroom. The camera club I'm taking the course through does have a darkroom and it might be more practical if I ask someone for lessons one on one, maybe after we return from the US in August. I still pull out Peter's older SLR and play. One day, one day...maybe, maybe...I hope so.

That is so sad about the school Judy!
